Business Continuity Services (Available Apr 05)

The Business Continuity Service can be bought as an add on to JAAG's Backup & Archival service or bought as a pre-bundled configuration (if a new subscriber).

This service provides the ability to automatically failover to a standby server, whether it is located locally (on site) or offsite at another customer's location or JAAG location.

JAAG willl offer this service in three ways:

• By providing the additional software and ugrade licenses and help the customer configure the system for local replication and failover.
  
  
• By providing the additional software and ugrade licenses and help the customer configure the system for remote replication and failover.
  
  
• By JAAG leasing the additional standby servers (ans software) to the customer and using the JAAG location as the failover site.

JAAG's Business Continuity Service provides as standard:

• All the feauture's of JAAG's Data Protection Service with PIT retrieval and JAAG's Backup and Archival Service
  
  
• In addition :
  • Monitoring of critical servers by their standby with automated failover in case of failure or a maintenance shutdown.
    • Standby server can be local or remote.
  • Customer control with the ability to switch back to the master server when problem is resolved.
  • JAAG configuration support .
  • Master server(s) data being protected through JAAG's Backup and Archival service.
    
    
• Optionally JAAG will:
  • Lease the standby server equipment (and space) to customer.
  • Provide the upgrade licenses to the customer.
  • Provide the configuration information that allows the use of JAAG's remote facility as the failover point.

• Cost effective monthly payments for 1, 2 and 3 year plans.
